Hmmm... when I first started with Phelsuma I was over feeding and over
supplementing (both calcium and vitamins), as most beginners do. My
animals were developing large sacks. When I got my husbandry under
control, I noticed my animals were no longer developing the large sacks.
And the animals that had them lost them. I've had wonderful success with
breeding and longevity in my animals, so I believe they are very healthy
without the sacks. And my animals are purely indoor animals. So... IMO
you can indeed overdose calcium and vitamins, and that large sacks are a
result of over feeding and over supplementing.
