Dear List-members,
I have been posting messages like this before on this list and I will do it
once more:
All animals from Mauritius sold in Europe and North America originate from a
Dutch animal trader. They are NOT captive bred, NOT fed with a nectar longer
as it takes to sell them! They are kept in groups NOT longer as it takes to
sell them. The reason they are fed with nectar and kept in groups is NOT
because of the animal's comfort, but it is only to make the live of the
'importer' easier. The ecto-parasites on the animals are as wild-caught as
the animal itself! Please refrain from buying P.cepediana, P.ornata and
P.guimbeaui as they are illegally collected and sold legally. Something is
wrong with some CITES authorities in Europe as they have been informed many
times about this. P.guimbeaui is more endangered than the Indian tiger!
