2 things I can add ( I have been hand feeding a Fat Tailed gecko for 1
year) When I tried Ensure and bug smoothy, the gecko bloated like a
balloon. I also use the A/D I have found that if you squirt a little on
one of the gex nostril it will start licking it off. Then you can keep
squirting a little at a time while the gex keeps licking. I have moved up
to getting him started licking with the A/D and then holding a bug
against the side of his mouth and he licks it and then grabs it. We have
gotten so good at it, it only takes about 5 minutes to feed him.
If you are wondering why he won't eat on his own. His previous
owners quit feeding him and he starved down to 25g and got MBD. He now
weighs 65g, but won't feed himself.
