Good information from Trace! Keep in mind the dog food is not meant to
be a long term food. If you have nothing else handy I would not hesitate
to use it. It would be easy to eliminate the dog food part and just
grind up crix or mealworms using Ensure as the liquid.

Hey Julie this is off listserv, I still have not fixed it, I receive but the
replies disappear into outer space.
Out of concern, however, I emailed Jeanna.
Unfortunately, Hills AD can cause fatty liver in sick leopard geckos.
This person has had 2 leo deaths, Hills cat food was possibly a factor of
the fatty liver dianosis due to its high animal fat content.
I just thought I would let you know.

On a brighter note, Ensure diluted with 1/4 water has been used with no ill
effects so far. I know someone who has used it for a few months with her leo
and her weight is consistent (even gained a few grams) and is vibrant and
active. She is finally going back to bugs, but slowly.

Regards
Trace
