What's MBD?
My 3 yr. old female leo was an enthusiastic feeder until I set up her
hide box. She stays in for weeks at a time, then comes out and feeds
well for a time, then back in the box for weeks. She used to beg
mealworms from my hand. Now she comes up to them, sniffs or licks at
them, and rejects them. Thinking it could be a soap or lotion smell on
my hand, I've starting dropping the mealworms down in front of her. She
pursues them eagerly, then sniffs, licks, rejects. I mostly raise my
own mealworms. Lately, in addtion to oats and buggy granola, they've
had sweet potato skins, which they like a lot. They haven't had
anything strong like broccoli for while. I've had her for almost 3 yrs.
- got her at a pet store - she has never had contact with others - I was
striving to get her in breeding condition, then she started with this
fussy eater routine. She used to eat crickets, now isn't interested in
them at all. Fecal test time, I suppose?
