To everybody who is criticizing me,
I would like start with saying that I've never treated an animal without
consulting a vet first. But what I'm am trying to do here is to help animals
that are in the hands of those who, for some reason, won't seek a vet. There
could be many reasons: lack of good vets. I have a friend in the Czech
Republic who is a turtle breeder. He told me that there were no competent
vets whatsoever where he lived, so he had to do everything by himself, and
learn through the internet. Another, more common, reason is that many people
will not seek a vet for economical reasons. F.ex. it costs way more to treat
a leopard gecko for malnutrition at the vet, than to buy a hachling leopard
gecko. I'm not defending any of this behavior; of course you should be able
to pay medical bills for your animal, that's a part of a pet owner's
responsability. But for those who can't or won't go to a vet, I think it's
better that they recieve amateur advices from me, that no advices at all!!
Anyway, I rather sick of arguing in this issue. One try to help, but end up
hours typing in front of the computer trying to excuse oneself.
And Lyle, Kieth and all of you that think I'm totally wrong, don't you worry
guys, I won't post anymore....
Thank you and good bye.
Sincerely,
Assar Manuswin
