I recently acquired 1.3 "Crocodile" Geckos, which I assume are Tarentola
mauretanica. I found a little bit about them in some general herpetology
books (the best account was in Schmidt's Living Reptiles of the World) and a
very short care sheet from the UK. I'd like to have what I'm doing confirmed
and learn more.

The geckos are currently in a 10-gallon tank with a calci-sand substrate and
a screen top. There are several toilet paper tubes and a driftwood branch in
the cage. During the day, there is a 60-watt bulb overhead for 14/10; there
is a heat tape running beneath the length of the tank.

The tank is misted in the morning after the light goes on and in the evening
just before the light goes off. The geckos are fed 1/2" dusted crickets and
mealworms everyother day or so.

None of the geckos has reached what I believe is their adult size (6" ?), and
I have not observed any eggs.

Does the set-up sound appropriate? When do these geckos breed/how do they
deposit their eggs? How (and for how long) should I incubate the eggs? Any
words of advice or wisdom? Thanks for your help!
