Yeah, I can see the benefit in LARGE enclosures where the need of a UVA and 
UVB producing lamp that put out a good amount at a distance is needed. But I 
would say that if the reptile would be closer than 3-4 feet from the bulb, I 
wouldn't use it. At 1 foot away these bulbs are suppose to put out 1.28 the 
amount of equatorial UVB.
