I don't know if I would necessary agree with 'don't put on the "Perishable"' advice. All my boxes have "Perishable" on them and I've had a 100% live arrival on all my shipments. I go back to temperature problems during the mid of night at shipping hubs (or other problems). As Chris says, shipping companies like UPS typically do not have temperature controlled areas for "Perishable" items.
