I think that showing README file from the program itself is a bit non-standard
and we should also consider other solutions.

Geeqie can read the old format too. It is the only format if it is compiled
without Exiv2, but it should work always as a fallback.
The bigest problem is that it uses different directory and thus it can't see
the metadata from GQView. Maybe we could add some conversion script?

I left it untranslated for Czech too.

I translated it as "Side file"

Here are some alternative names:

I'd rather force the user to open the file and edit it there. Editing the
files automatically according to the checkbox is IMHO dangerous.

Yes, you have to install it.

Downloading the desktop file to the right directory is also easy...

This is probably a bug in Exiv2.

I can't reproduce it. Do you have a backtrace?

It is meant a file with sidecars

It is again a problem with gtk. I still don't know how to make reliable
multiline labels that wrap automatically.

This concrete piece of code should allow adding multiple alternative hotkeys
for the same action. It should be rather fixed than removed. Maybe commenting
out the particular line is enough.
