I know just before the merge Louis and I were working on a issue with Realtek HD audio cards but then it was like it got dropped. I Have not heard anymore about it.
We actually had to buy a cheap SoundBlaster card to resolve the issue which is not the way we wanted.... Now our audio is mediocre at best. HD cards sound better.
