Are you using the NVIDIA binary drivers? You should have a different experience with those (for better or worse). Head to http://www.nvidia.com and download their unified installer, which will then download and install the correct driver and kernel modules.=20 As far as disk imaging, I find mondo to work really well in most cases (I have had troubles with dealing with RAIDs, however). Mondo Rescue has an irc channel on irc.freenode.net, channel #mondo, same network as #brlug. The developer is usually there, though IIRC, he's on vacation right now.=20

KDE 3.1 is SWEET a= nd Zapping is the best TV application for Linux that I have seen yet. It is= every bit as good as anything that ATI bundles for Window$ and is MUCH mor= e flexible/configurable. K3B is the best audio CD burning app that I have f= ound so far, and, with the exception of being able to directly creating CD = labels, it does everything (including writing CD text) that EZCD Creator an= d Nero Burning ROM do and does it faster and with greater flexibility than = either of them. I am amazed at how fast and how far things have progressed = for the benefit of the desktop user/newbie in the short year that I have be= en playing with Linux and can't wait the see where we will be in another ye= ar.
