Have you tried to run the cd in interactive mode? That should bring up a
tui that allows you to select the installation media (CD-R in your
case). There is a command to manually run mondo-restore from the CD once
it drops you to the shell, but I forget the path. It may be
/usr/bin/mondo-restore
