Most of the CS students(that I have taked with) don't care as long as they get paid or haplessly ignorant that even an alternative exists. What i am disappointed is that the CS dept is not even interested in providing students with round the clock computing facility(honestly that is really lame) let alone proving open source software. As will was telling earlier MS is opening a program that would give all the CS major students *Free* (as in use now and get addicted to it) MS software. The only condition is that you can't sell the software but you can continue to use it as long as you want to. The only reason why MS is targeting college students is because that's where their future is. That's the reason why they don't want to crack down on piracy for individuals. Honestly its a smart move but i am glad that OpenSource and Linux has got MS' tail between its legs. I hope this the begining of the end for their monopoly. Karthik
