I am sorry that you have chosen to be belligerent on this matter, but I 
still assert that it's not relevant.

The notion of "I just want it to work, regardless of what OS I use" is 
rather counter-productive to the notions that have driven Linux 
development from the very beginning.

In short, you haven't provided me with anything other than the assertion 
that you are a "veteran" of this group, and so this gives you the right 
to post something which, to me, another member of this group, finds 
repugnant. 

If, indeed, this is a group-wide opinion, and I am indeed, in the wrong, 
then perhaps BRLUG is not what I thought it was from the beginning; not 
to cast aspersions on the group, because the group is very noble in 
their sentiment, and has stood behind every value that I, as a Linux 
advocate, hold dear and true. 

It is only brought to light by your assertion that you are "an active 
member of BRLUG and have been for a number of years", and why it is 
important to this discussion.  Perhaps you might explain that to me.
