In general, I doubt very much if most of the developers very much care what color anything is, so long as its easy to maintain and build. We all have enough to do without messing with any of that. But, make no mistake, the developers on each individual team will need to make the final decisions. The day Jakarta starts to say, it has to be this-way or else, is the day a lot of us would choose or-else. It's very important to recognize that nothing can be set in stone here. When the "original designers" are not available, whoever is available needs to do whatever needs to be done. The only ones we are sure are going to be here are the programmers, so the programmers ~have~ to be able to do everything. I'm very much in favor of what you are trying to do, but what we want to hear is that this is something that should just work out of the box for everyone, but can still be easily adjusted if necessary. In short, the only disaster greater than giving the committer's free reign over the web site, would be to have no committers willing to update the web site. -- Ted Husted, Husted dot Com, Fairport NY US -- Developing Java Web Applications with Struts -- Tel: +1 585 737-3463 -- Web: http://husted.com/struts -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
