FWIW:
Years ago I drew some APL glyphs in eps format, so that
I could use them instead of a true APL fount in TeX and LaTeX.
The set of characters was based on the `Dictionary of APL',
but not all were drawn explicitly: those that could be obtained
by transforming and combining (i.e. rotation, overlapping)
were realized as TeX macros (using dvips).
The described method worked, including the characters could
be scaled, although of course a true APL fount is much better.
If someone sees any use of it, here is a copy of the archive
