I can't think when I have ever denied anyone their right to an opinion. I
just don't have to agree with every opinion that comes along.

Unfortunately, you didn't read that statement very well. Many is certainly
not the same as most. I can't speak for the demonstrations abroad, but some
of the peace rallies here are indeed verifiably backed by professional
organizations (many of whom are indeed socialist) that carefully coach, fund,
and organize more than just peace rallies. I've listened to interviews of
some of these people, and heard a complete presentation on the instructions
given to the cadre of members who circulate from town to town to demonstrate
Some of the demonstrators, but not all, genuinely believe in peace; others
are hard core pacifists who, for example, would have left Great Britain to
rot rather than coming to their aid in WWII (an example, the poet organizer
of the anti-war poetry that is currently being collected.)

Eventually, anyone who supports our government and the choices of its leaders
is labeled a warmonger, and anyone who gives more credance to American
interests than international interests is a jingoist. I don't know where
xenophobic comes in, but it's good to toss around, too. Dislike for the
political choices of a nation has nothing to do with xenophobia. I can like
the food, poetry, novels, language, humor, etc. of France, Russia, Germany,
Israel, China, Korea, and I've spent a lifetime studying some of the
languages, but I certainly don't have to consider their political opinions to
reflect fact and reality.

Interesting how it is, Lonni, that your opinions are based in fact and
reality, but any other opinions are just warmongaring, etc. That's what all
of this is: just opinion.

Are you so incredibly naive as to believe that the slogans of the peace
activists are fact and reality instead of just opinion? You have the right
to your opinion, they have the right to their opinion, but I don't need to
consider their opinions as fact and reality.

LOL,
