You are very right.  It would be great if we Americans and our news services 
took more of an interest in world events, but we don't.  The witicism was 
making the rounds during the recent Afghan war that the average American 
could not find Afghanistan on the map!  I'm as guilty as anyone of thinking 
that Sweden has remained a static cradle to grave socialist state.
