Last I remember we didn't say much when Iraq was gassing the Iranian army to
the tune of 1/2 million Iranian casualties. We didn't say much when they used
gas on the Kurds back when St Ronald and St George Sr. were running the
country and Iraq was our buddy helping to defeat the evil Iranians. Now
thirteen years later we are at war with an Iraq that is even weaker than they
were when they were our buddies or rolled into Kuwait. First little George
claimed that we need to invade them because they had backed the WTC
terrorists. That turned out to be not true. Then we had to go to war to
,destroy their weapons of mass destruction. Problem: the CIA admits that the
documents proving that Iraq tried to buy nuclear material from Nigeria were
forgeries and that Bush had been told that before he went on tv claiming that
the government had the proof that Iraq was trying to buy nuclear material.
Weapons then quietly became gas and bugs. Problem: UN inspectors could only
only find 12 empty warheads which in all probably left over from the war with
Iran. At this point Britain jumped in with their "proof?;" It took the
British press less than 24hrs to find that the so-called evidence had been
copied from the Internet without regard to the qualifications of the posters.
One of the more important papers turned out to have been written by a college
student who has never been to the middle east and had been written as a class
term paper. Once again the quite shift. Now it was war to make Iraq comply
with the UN resolution. Total non-compliance turned out to be 100 rockets.
Iraq had already burned through the casings of 16 of them when the
draft-dodger in-chief sent the military to the middle east. But, now it was a
war to free the Iraqis from their evil dictator. Only trouble with that was
that, with the exception of the Shiite Moslems allied with Iran and the
Kurds, the rest of the Iraqis have taking to welcoming their liberators by
sniping at our supply column with 303 British Enfields left over from WWI.

In short, the government has lied about the need of this war since day one.
Those who support a war and government based on lies and deliberate deception
are not patriots but jingos who hold the dishonor of one family above the
honor of their country. They have placed us upon history's roll of dishonor
right next to the Italian invasion of Ethiopia in 1934.

As far my own patriotism, I served with honor as an enlisted man in the U.S.
military for 22yrs spanning the Viet Nam era.I do not equate love of country
and her honor with some beer-gutted draft-dodging jingo with his foot on the
running board of his flag be decked SUV shouting Commie at anyone who
disagrees with the philosophy of the school yard bully.
