I'm no rocket scientist but the install doc might help, if you read through it from the top to the bottom. There's a nice link that points you to where to download the ISO's, along with the stages. No offense.. but I didn't need to post to the mailing list to figure out how to install gentoo. The install doc was my only guide. I've also never heard of a stage1/2/3 package from one mirror being different than a stage1/2/3 from another mirror, and I follow the posts to this list daily.
