This is also possible under linux (ie to make a linux box use a 
shared windows printer). I havent dont it but all I can do is to refer you

A person with your experience Mark shouldnt have any problem in trying out
the ideas in the above HOWTO. Setting up things under linux isnt as easy 
as with windows but once you do it you have a nice warm sensation of 
satisfaction that you did it and learned something too :-)

Just play about with the thingy, usually there are plenty of tools 
available for windows linux compatibility. Its just a matter of visiting 
google and searching for it.
