I know I miht get some flak for saying this but windows is a stable and reliable server, take a virgin windows installation and apply the service packs and let it run, it will run stably for months. Sometimes when you apply a major patch you may have to reboot the OS but its the same for linux, all the linux guys who were running 2.4 with months of uptime were forced to reboot there machines after installing kernel 2.4.23 , as all previous versions (including the 2.2.x releases IIRC) were suceptible for any user to become root. The problem with windows is that it becomes unstable when lusers install all the adware and spyware and malware in the planet. Now my windows XP box which I use for only playing games has not crashed since I installed it a year ago. If a person says that he users windows, there is no need to to blow your fuse and use all kinds of scatological words :( This kind of hostile attitude is what has led to many people thinking that it was the linux community responsible for the mydoom atacks, and not our enemies the spammers.
