Colin, give this a try:  Plot the contours you want on a map.  Then, use "Mapping->Get polygons from a group".  This creates a polygon file of the form

poly 1
    x    y
    .    .
    .    .
    .    .
poly 2
    x    y
    .    .
    .    .
    .    .

With a text editor, change all the "poly"s to "line", change the suffix on the file to .xyz, and import this file into a database a  Geosoft XYZ file.

Subject: [geonet]: X & Y Coordinates of Contour

How would I go about creating a database of the actual X and Y coordinates of a contour?  The contour gx will give me a visual display of that contour, but how would I go about extracting the X’s and Y’s from the data?
