Hey Jody,
just found time to read your proposal (yep, Saturday night finally).

Generally speaking it works for me, the only thing raising eyebrowses
is that it's going to add a concept (patch releases) that we never had
for years and years.
I don't think we're going to see many (any?) of them, though I may be wrong
of course.

Just to be clear, the project is still going to be versioned as a whole, we're
not going to see module x at version 8.5.1 and module y at version 8.3.2 right?
Don't want to see that, it would make handling dependencies a royal mess.
