This is really out of our hands I guess. The current set of active developers is full or work beyond imagination, so I don't expect any of them to make a patch release unless there is a contract backing it (we already have our hands full with x and y in x.y.z). That said, the GeoMajas developers expressed an interest in having releases that only include bug fixes. If they are up to take the patches they deem interesting, backport them to a tag/branch, and make a release out of that, well... I'm certainly not going to complain :-) As for naming... 8.1 or 8.1.0... hum... pretty much the same to me. I'm good with either of them.
