Right, at the same time nobody can force the maintainer into doing work
he has not agreed to.

Teamwork is nice when shared, otherwise it's just one party unilaterally
offloading work to others.
As a real busy person I get very much upset when that happens, my previous
suggestions were trying to get a decent balance between mission impossible
(one person doing everything) and maintainers being forced to do something
they do not have reason to work on.
