Dave, at least here in the USA I'm not hopeful that there will be any collaboration. As I look down at my Verizon BlackBerry and take note that its GPS is only enabled for the VZNavigator thing and not for collaborating with the community (heck let alone "the Google" mobile maps).
With so much of the wireless bandwidth tied up with AT&T, Verizon, etc, it will take quite a disruption to actually get to a point where the tools we use every day will be able to interact with everyone and not tied up with only those in your T-Mobile myFaves list.
