| Saffron, for those unfamiliar with it, is the stamens (I think--some
| reproductive part) of a certain type of crocus flower. It is not hot
and
| I'm not aware of any *psychodelic* effects but I think I would leave it
out
| for financial reasons if nothing else. It is the most expensive spice
in
| the world being such a small part of a small plant and requiring harvest
| with TWEEZERS!
Well! At last! Someone has something serious to say about saffron.
All of you (and all of me) who have been teasing about NGS selection of
the term "Saffron" -- please remember that it was our respected friends
who did that. Our MOST respected friends.
So I want you to imagine several adults sitting around a table and
deliberating a word to describe the color of a gerbil. I presume that any
gerbils in attendance did not vote.
So there is that committee. What do you suppose they were drinking or
smoking?
