Renee, Hi my name is Ginny and I work with injured wildlife. Until you can get to a vet. Keep your gerbil warm and try to wash off the wounds with a dilution of warm water and hydrogen peroxide. That way you can see where the wounds are. If you have an antibiotic ointment put on the wounds that you can see. Don't worry about feeding that much when you are sick you don't really feel like eating much. Fluid is very imporntant. I would just try some drops of water for your gerbil and try and contact your vet. Good luck
