I wouldn't be worried about it just yet. I got some gerbils from a breeder (Hi
Emily) and their mom didn't breed until she was 5 months, and the two I got
were a little over 5 months and still didn't mate before the male died. It may
just take time. You might want to move them to a closet or someplace dim, as
they may feel it's too crowded where their cage is in and don't want to have
pups.
