Color Question

I have a Dove female who has an odd coat.  I noticed that on her rear end she
has a triangle of Lilac colored fur.  It looks like someone shaved the hair
off in the area then it grew back a different color, but I know that never
happened.  It's almost as  if that part of her didn't lighten from the Lilac
color.   I don't have any pictures that show what it looks like.  Does
anybody know why this is?
