Kicking litter on their water? Do you use open bowls instead
of a water bottle?!?!?

I usually do a daily water change, filling a 10 oz lixit bottle about
half full. Otherwise it can get 'slime' growing in it.... I know I'd
rather drink water that's a bit fresher than when the bottle goes
dry (about four days or so)

I give carrot about twice a week, apple when I can get it cheap
(in about another month I shall be inundated as the neighbor's
apple tree is sagging <g>) and a ration of feed every day. I
feed a pair about an ounce and a half (shot glass full), and go
to two when she starts looking like a coaster and to about three
when the babies start munching and four by the time I am ready
to take a litter of six to eight away.
