I agree with Michael. It is a serious ecological crime to release exotic
species of animals into a habitat that has no defenses against it. Not to
mention inhumane treatment of the animals which have never learned how to
forage or defend themselves against the inherent dangers of wild living.

How old is this "friend" anyway? If she is a minor than her parents should
also be held responsible.
