Hi
I just woke up and heard an noise coming from my gerbil cage. I checked and
Two-Bit was attacking the baby gerbils! Two-Bit is not the mother but she
was living with the mom when the mom had the babies. The babies are three
weeks old today (there are 3 babies) and two just opened their eyes
yesterday. Two-Bit was living peacefully with them for this long, she was
almost a better mom then their mom! I have a problem though. To separate
her, I had to put her in the empty aquarium I was planning to move the whole
family to (as soon as I got a lid for it) So two-bit is in there with no
food dish, water bottle, and a towel for a lid!
But why was two-bit attacking the babies?
Can I put her back in the cage w/the babies & Mom after a few hours of
"solitary confinement"?
HELP!
