OK everyone .. I have a question .. what causes dehydration in gerbils?  I Lose my sick Momma yesterday.  She was feeding and didn't seem to be suffering from Respitory problems.  Somone mention on this list the other day about dehydration and to try pedialyte which i did, unfortunately it didn't work.  Now my other Momma is sick, she is thin and wobbly on her legs and lethargic, I put sme baby oatmeal in her cage and she is eating it.  I also tried to give her some pedilyte by mouth but she didnt' seem to take much and she seems so frail I was afriad of hurting her.  Both cages of gerbils have been on antibiotics for 2 weeks now so i am sure there is no signs of respitory.  Please help, I would like to try and keep this mommy alive.
