Deb is right, if your gerbil has no wheel at this
time, try providing her with one. Another thing that
could help is giving her a wood block to chew on
instead of the bars. Sage, my dove male, will try to
chew on the roof bars of the tank when he can get to
them or chew on the plastic of the linking tube. If I
catch him I blow on him which startles him and he
usually winds up chewing his woodblock instead.
