The Microsoft folks have said repeatedly that only directx 3 is supported under NT4.
There a supposed to be hacks to directx or NT which are supposed to give some
semblance
of directx 5 support.
However, if it is not supported by Microsoft, I am not interested in using it. I
will not base
my code on a suspect directx version.
If you have other info, I'll investigate furthur...
