Why not install Virtualbox and inside it a Linux (Ubuntu) machine?
In that case I can help ...

I am a bit lazy, Marco, and as I have used Cygwin for several years I hold on it. But perhaps Virtualbox is worth a try. I'l give it a look.

(At the moment I have to use my ten years old Windows XP computer for this work, but would like to update on a newer computer).
