It's funny that you say that your eyes felt like they were being
directed into two different directions because when I got my new
prescription, I had a similar feeling with my eyes.  I took my glasses
to a Sears Optical and the person measured the optical centers on all
three of my glasses.  Then this person measured my PD and the numbers
were spot on.  The person advised that I keep wearing them and that I
would get used to them.  Sure enough, everything seems normal now.  My
experience with PD and frames is that if you have a big PD like I do,
then smaller frames typically don't work as there is not enough room
to place the optical center.  I had this happen once and the
manufacturer let me know before charging me which was real nice.
