Well, I suppose I'm just a bit discouraged now.

The 'getting used to' option doesn't seem ideal. My older glasses
don't have that problem at all, and I rarely wear them (even though I
should) so it's not that my eyes have specifically adjusted to them.

I may splurge and risk another $40 or so and just order a pair with a
much narrower PD just to see if that changes anything. Otherwise, it
looks like I'm back to paying way too much at the local retailer
(though I'm pretty sure that won't be Target).

Thanks for all the advice, everyone!

DA, my approach for my first "pair" of online glasses was that
I would spend as much as I would have for glasses from my glasses
shop. At $400, that came to about 5-6 pairs for my bifocal
prescription.

Then, even if I had to go through all those pair to get things
figured out, I would have broken even, and following years'
purchases would be big money savers.

Worst case, it would be the same as if I broke a pair of
glasses and had to get them replaced.

It worked out for me... I wound up with 2 pairs of keepers,
prescription sunglasses just for fun, and one pair that wasn't
very good which I donated.

It sounds extravagant, but for the first time in my life
I have sunglasses *and* and extra pair of glasses that is
current with my prescription.

Good Luck!
