I would really like to hear from you experienced folks about the

Gordon,

When I bought my 415C in 1990 the previous owner had added rudder
pedals. I have flow Coupes both with them and without. First of all
they do not do much. In cruise I rarely even put my feet on them. I do
slip occasionally and use them on climbout a bit but my advice would be:
If they are there when you buy the airplane leave them but if they are
not then do not waste money to put them in. The airplane was designed
to fly without them and it does that just fine. However, make sure you
land correctly if you are used to tail draggers of the same era. Just
loosen up on the controls and let the Coupe straigten itself out. It
knows how to do it. Fighting the controls on landing will get old
rudder guys in trouble.
