I think it depends on how you're 'wired' as a pilot. I hardly ever flew
the 
same type
two flights in a row (including as a student) until I bought the 'Coupe. I

find that
using my feet to taxi is sufficient reminder that yaw control is now in my

feet and
to 'wake them up.'  I *DO* have to say to myself 'self, put yer feet on
the 
pedals
and remember differential braking as you pull out of the space.' That's
enough.

Not that they need to be very 'awake' in 172s and most other spam-cans. If

anything,
I tend to 'over' rudder a 172 for a few turns.
