C.G. relative to the ground? This indeed deserves a little discussion. I personally believe that an aircraft in slow flight, with a nose high attitude will have a slight shift of C.G. to the rearward of the aircraft. I could be wrong here, but it seems that a large pilot and passenger, will actually have a c.g. shift to the rear in this nose high attitude. Body weight is mostly carried in the chest/torso area of the body. Seems that as the aircraft rotates, the chest area could actually shift to the rear, as it is carried in the upper portion of the aircraft. Additionally, the effective distance of the engine mass forward of datum will actually become shorter while the aircraft is in this nose high attitude. Thus, effective distance of engine mass is moved rearward, and effective passenger mass also moves slightly to the rear. I think this changes the C.G. of the aircraft.
