Larry. I dunno. My mechanics are telling me I could, maybe, get another 500 hours of a 1300 hour engine. Then again they have engine failed after 200 hours, one was brand new coming from continental. And my brothers Coupe has 1700 on its second overhaul and besides 3 cylinders had been reworked because of low compression, nothing needed to be done to this strong running sucker. There are many circumstances leading to engine failure. Maybe the bearing just turned out of its seat and new bearings will do to Mitch's engine. You never know. Yes and maybe the seller was on a bad trip. That's why I trust a mechanics recommendation on one side and read the logbooks on the second. I paid my price of buying junk.
