With over 7000 in ercoupes, I found the Lycomings a lot better motor. A friend of mine put over 3800 hrs on a piper Warrior with out doing anything major to the motor. When you check the logs on any Continenal motor big or small very few go over 1500 hrs. A lot of the motors were made in 1946 when they made a lot of motors, so some of the work my have been bad.
