Please adopt the 5-year wings-removal method of controlling wing center section corrosion in the upcoming AD. * I bought an Ercoupe that was corrosion free. * I used a mechanic who removed the interior and cleaned the center section from the inside as part of his regular annual to inspect each part of the plane. * I have paid for keeping my plane in a hangar for 21 of the 23 years I have owned my Ercoupe in order to protect it against corrosion. Last week, I took my Ercoupe to John Wright, Sr., for its annual inspection. I personally saw how he inspected the center section using mirror and flashlight. I was able to look in and observe how clearly a mechanic can see the front and rear (from the mechanic's point of view) sides of the ribs.
