Hi everyone, has anyone changed the elevator trim tab cable? I have tried to work mine loose all summer with various lubricants to no avail, I can move it with a set of pliers, but not with the console mount lever next to the throttle. The local FBO does not carry the stainless stock. What I am cuious about is this, is it possible to take the old one aout and after sanding it, get it back in. My experience with cables of this type in the past has been that it is best to follow the old one out with the new one abutting it. Your input is appreciated, my intention is to take the old one out, and if I have enough after I clip off the one crimped end, the sand it , lube it and put it back in.
