Bobymac, Disable that lab. I don't think you need it anymore. Gmail has implemented categories now. Just go to settings/inbox and select the categories you want featured in your inbox. They may not be identical to what was offered via the lab but there should be some correspondence to those lab categories. Also, go to settings/labels and note that you can select to view each category in the sidebar and the emails identified there include not only those still in the inbox but also those archived.
