Unfortunately, that is how Google seems to work these days. "Let's create a new (feature, tool, program) !" "Let's create this new tool that replaces the old one! (Sorry, all you guys who were using the old one.)" "Google no longer supports the tool and it will be eliminated 3 months from now."
